Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear patient
Your symptoms are suggestive of osteoarthritis of knee. What is your age? If it's more than 50 years osteoarthritis is most probable diagnosis. I would advise Xray of both knees anteroposterior and lateral views to confirm diagnosis. If There is significant reduction in joint space with osteophytes diagnosis is confirmed. For comlete relief total knee replacement is recommended. It's very rewarding procedure with complete pain Relief and full mobility. Quality of life is also improved. So visit expert arthroplasty surgeon nearby you and get yourself examined. Take opinion for replacement. Meanwhile start tablet paracetamol 500 mg thrice a day for pain relief. Avoid squatting and cross legged position. Use English type of toilet. Quadriceps and hamstrings strengthening excersise should be started.
