Hello,
Per-
rectal bleeding along with soft stool, blood on tissue paper without having menses is surely indicative of blood from the intestines.
Hence, I would advise you the following in such a situation:
- Get the stool tests and if there is any evidence of an infection get a course of an antibiotic and
metronidazole along with probiotics and get the results.
- If there is no improvement within a few days of treatment then you need an opinion of a gastroenterologist,
colonoscopy,
CT scan of the abdomen to get the exact cause so that a specific treatment can be given.
- Till then have plenty of oral fluids to keep the proper hydration.
- Soft bland diet.
- Take bananas, yogurt, and activated
charcoal tablets.
- If anything serious is found, get operated if there is cancer or so.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant
