I think I might have pulled or strained my hamstring when doing the splits a few weeks ago. I forced the split for a dance tryout, and afterwards I felt pain when I walked and when I streached. It s been about 2 to 3 weeks since then and it doesn t hurt when I walk anymore but it still hurts when I streach that leg. Is there something I could do get my leg back to normal without seating out of dance?
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you are suffering from muscular pain. It occur due to overstrain of hamstrings while doing splits. Treatment of it is rest and analgesics (diclofenac three times a day after meals). Muscle relaxant such as thiocolchicoside can be added. Vitamin B-complex and Vitamin C supplementation can used to promote healing. A few days of staying outside dance is advisable. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.
