Suggest Remedy For Strange Sounds Made By Toddler
Hi there my 3yr old son has started making a strange sound throughout the day it sounds like he s gulping down air ...I m not sure if he s doing it because he can or if there s a problem. He s normally fit and well . he has speech problems but I m sure this has nothing to do with this problem . I would be very grateful if you could shed any light on this. Many thanks Debbie .

Hi...by what you quote I feel that he is doing this by habit. Unless he is having any swallowing problems or choking while feeding, you need not worry. I don't think that his speech problem is related to this.
