Hello
I have gone through your question.
I can undertsand your concern.
I agree with your treating doctor's opinion.
Your
TSH result can be explained by a condition called subclinical
hypothyroidism.
The most common cause of hypothyroidism and subclinical hypothyroidism is Hashimoto
thyroiditis. In my opinion this is your diagnosis.
(You didn't mention if your doctor reached your specific thyroid diagnose,so i can presume that Hashimoto disease is right in your case)
About your question ,i can say that there is no cure for Hashimoto's thyroiditis. It is an
autoimmune disease and inflammation will continue. The hypothyroidism is the result of the inflammatory process.
But you don't have reason to worry because after some days or weeks of medication all the symptoms will disappear and you will be symptomless for the rest of your life if you take regularly and correctly
thyronorm.
The precautions you should take are:
- You should take your Thyronorm in the morning on an empty stomach with water, at least one-half hour before any food is eaten.
-This drug should be taken at least 4 hours apart from drugs that are known to interfere with its absorption.
-Remember that the peak therapeutic effect of this drug may not be attained for 4 to 6 weeks.
-Add these foods in your daily diet: coconut oil, seaweeds, high fiber foods and fruits / vegetables.
-Avoid
goitrogen foods like broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kale and soy.
-Try to manage
stress.
Hope i have answered to all your questions.
If you have other doubts, feel free and ask.
Take care.
