Suggest Remedy For Swelling And Pain When Suffering From Rheumatoid Arthritis

My husband has Rhuematoid Arthritis which is in remission. He had Carple Tunnel and Trigger Finger surgery this past September. Since then, he has had an enormous amount of swelling in his hands bilaterally and some ankle edema. He had blood drawn and no increase in his levels for Rhematoid Arthritis. He is taking Prednisone-5mg, Aleve and Carvedilol-12.5 mg. He tries not to take Prednisone daily but the increased swelling and pain be needs to. Do you think medically we are missing some other type of disease process? He had an angiogram, in 2013 which was fine.

Thank you for the question.I would suggest re-evaluation of his congestive heart with an carddiologist.I would suggest to add dytor 10 mg once a day to reduce load on heart and in view of ankle oedema and swelling both hands if ,as you say, rheumatoid is in remission.Prednisone and Aleve may be tapered or switch over to other disease modifying meds. in consultation with a rheumatologist.
