Suggest Remedy For Swollen Joints, Constipation And High Iron Levels
My 82 year old grand mother is having these symptoms; Swollen joints, Constipation, High-Iron, Swollen & Stomach with pain, Sensitivity-to-sweet. This all started after eating pizza three days ago. She's not diabetic but dose have high blood pressure & dementia. What should we do? Take her to the ED?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I think constipation may be due to pizza. You can give syp. Lactulose after consulation. Keep her hydrated. Swollen joints may be due to osteoarthritis. For that you can give tab. Etoricoxib after consultation and detailed examination by orthopedician. Do regular exercises. Don't sit in squatting position. If she has sever abdominal pain and not able to pass gas, then consult with ER.
Take care.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
