Suggest Remedy For The Bruise, Pain And Bleeding On Head
A piece of glass hit my head. It was my dads 5 year commendation made from glass, about 5-15 pounds. It hit my head right behind my temple. There is blood coming from ONE of the roots of my hair, and the whole thing is very painful. It feels as if there s a huge bruise there. At first I wanted to puke, but when I open my mouth wide, it hurts the spot I hit
I can understand your concern. It seems that piece of glass has pierced your scalp skin and muscle. Bruise is formed due to collection of blood below skin. Pain on opening mouth might be due to both muscle and skin damage.
You should remove visible glass piece and press the bleeding site. If you have betadine solution and sterile cotton pad, you can apply pad after soaking it in betadine. Avoid jaw movement as it can cause pain and bleeding from wound. Do not lie lateral on injury site. After first aid, you should consult ER where your wound will be fully evaluated. Your wound might need suturing. Do not delay suturing (if needed) more than 8 hours. You might be given pain killer like Diclofenac sodium, antibiotic like co-amoxyclav and asked to follow up regularly for dressing of wound. Sutures are usually removed after 8-10 days.
Thanks. Hope it will help you. Take care.
