Suggest Remedy For Tightness In Shoulder And Arm Joints

I ve dealt with repercussions of my whiplash for 30 years. For example, I m limited to doing things with my arms up in the air for too long like painting. Lately, I can t seem to get rid of the tightness in my shoulders & around my arm joints. What should I do?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
I have studied your case and I do not think it is due to whiplash. As stiffness of shoulder, hand and wrist are not commonly seen in this.I would suggest you following.
1.Tablet Amytryptalin one daily.
2.Hot water fomentation.
3. Meet a orthopaedic surgeon and rule out RSD and rheumatoid disease.
He might advise you some blood test like ESR, Ra, CRP.
I hope this answer will be useful for you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
thanks
