I'm 23, 5'4'' tall. I weigh 132lbs and am 19 weeks pregnant. I have no history of anything wrong me in my past except when I was younger, I had asthma but it's gone now I believe. I didn't have hardly ANY issues with my 1st pregnancy. My 2nd pregnancy was slightly hardly. Varicose veins, bad pain and heartburn. With this pregnancy, my varicose veins have been ridiculously awful. They are bulging so bad and are painful. I have a number of spider veins also. I wear support hose now and you can still feel them but not nearly as much. My question is, is there a good chance that my veins will go away after this pregnancy? (3rd one in 3 years) and my legs go back to normal?
Although varicose veins do not completely disappear after the pregnancy, but definitely there is some relief from the symptoms.During pregnancy there is excess of female hormones and pregnant uterus causes pressure over the inferior vena cava resulting in back pressure and dilatation of veins.
