Suggest Remedy For Viral Fever In Infants

Hello doctor My 1.7 yr old baby was having fever for last 3 days , todya she had loose motion for 3 times, i took blood test also and no major cause, doctor said might be viral but her fever is not gettign down, mornign and evening her temperature rises doctor prescribed the below medicines calpal 250 mg calfheal syrup..for cough no anti biotic medicines given, pls suggest me what i need to do to make her well thank you RK

Thanks for the query
Please stop all medicines except calpol.
Give calpol if fever is more than 100 degree F and it can be repeated after 5 hours if needed., depending upon the fever.
Give her Z and D drops 1 ml once daily for next 14 days.
please ensure that your baby is taking enough fluids (milk/water/light tea/coconut water).
in case you feel your baby is not taking enough fluids compare to what she is loosing in her loose stools then she should be given oral rehydrating solution (Electral tetra pack)
Her fever and loose stools are likely to be over in next 3-4 days time.
