My 2year old son has cough and cold since two days. Cough is not very severe but has mucus. He had whEezing problem . He didn't have any episode of cold for the past 4 months. I started with asthalin spray 2 puffs thrice a day. Should I give him nebulization?
Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic.
By what you quote, I feel your kid might be having a viral associated wheeze or a multi triggered wheeze. Both are different types but ultimately cause wheezing in kids less than 5 years age. You are very much right in giving him Asthalin sprays. You can continue to give them 2 sprays every 4th hourly if there is severe cough or fast breathing or wheezing. What you are giving now is very very low dose. If not getting better then approach your paediatrician.
