Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 3rd grandchild was just born. I am 65 and had whopping cough at age 8. My son was born 1988 and at 3 weeks old and got stck and had whooping cough. He did live. Mu daughter was born 1985, had 1 dpt shot, had a serious reaction and only had the dt thereafter. The question is: do all adults that are going to be around the baby need to get the vaccine, including both parents, aunts, uncles etc. How much do they need to be around the baby to warrant getting the vaccine?

Suggest Remedy For Whooping Cough
It is advisable to get all the adults who will be around and handling the baby, to prevent the baby getting infected. Regards - Dr. Sumanth
