Suggest Remedy To Clear Clogged Milk Duct

I've had a clogged milk duct for nearly 5 months now and was wondering if you could guide me in the direction I needed to take to get treatment, such as do I need to see a specialist? I have brought this up to my gynecologist who has told me that sometimes they never go away. I've stopped breast feeding about 3 weeks ago because of the frustration I have with this clogged duct and how it has drastically effected my milk supply. The clog starts in my nipple, the duct feels hard then there is a rice size lump (pea sized if felt from opposite direction) and from there the duct feels hard again. I can feel this for about an inch then I get into the fattier tissue of my breast which keeps me from knowing how far down it really goes. I have no pain, fever, redness, or other signs of concern.
