General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history Related to the brain surgery followed by urinary retention and inability to pass bowel movement in spite of dulcolax, some syrup and enema.in your Mother's case.
I would advise her the following:
X-ray of abdomen in standing position.
Saline plus soap water enema in a conventional way can help.
It is also necessary to see for signs of bowel obstruction due to missed out internal injury done at the time of an accident.
Please consult General Surgeon or rush to ER.
