Suggest Remedy To Overcome Constant Cold And Blocked Nose

I have been suferring from cold and blocked nose for over 6 months and have been taking homeopathic treatment, but to no avail. recently I consulted a general physician who diagonaized a nasal polyp. Please advise what kind of a specialist I should consult - ENT specialist or Pulmonologist or?

Hello,

You have been suffering from cold and blocked nose over 6 months and now you have been diagnosed with a nasal polyp. It looks like you are suffering from sinusitis associated with nasal polyp. You are suggested to get clinically examined by an ENT, get tests(allergy tests, etc.) and investigations(nasal endoscopy, CT, X-ray PNS, blood test, etc.) done. Get confirmed.

Your treating doctor will try to reduce the size of the polyp with nasal and injectable corticosteroids and other medicines, but sometimes removal of the polyp by surgery is needed. In the meantime you can take decongestants and antihistamine for relief. Saline nasal spray is also helpful, do it several times a day to rinse your nasal passages.
