Hallow Dear,
You had
unprotected intercourse on 28th Sept. The
Ipill taken 12-15 hours after the sex will give you protection from the
pregnancy. However, you again had an unprotected sex on 2 November. Now your pregnancy test is positive. Since you had taken Ipill following the first unprotected intercourse, it is most likely that this pregnancy has resulted from the second unprotected intercourse.
If you do not want to continue this pregnancy, there are medicines which can terminate pregnancy safely and effectively up to 9 weeks of pregnancy. The Medicines used for termination of pregnancy are Mifepristone and
Misoprostol. However, while taking these medicines, you have to keep following things in mind:
1. These medicines are not over the counter medicines. They have to be taken by an Obstetrician's prescription.
2. Usually the
abortion is completed within 24 to 72 hours after consumption of Misoprostol. If it does not by 7 days, you have to report to the Obstetrician for completion of abortion - may be by surgical evacuation.
3. If these medicines fail to terminate the pregnancy, or for any other reason, you cannot change the decision and continue the pregnancy. The risk of abnormality developing in the baby due to these medicines is very high.
4. Even if you abort, follow up visit to the Obstetrician after 7 days is advisable.
5. If there is any doubt about the completion of abortion,
ultrasonography gives the evidence of it.
I hope I have given you fairly good information with advice.
