Suggest Suitable Medication For Pigmentation Problem

Hi, i developed very dark patches near the temples of my forehead (probably because of sun exposure. The dermatologist prescribed me to apply lumacip plus cream for 3 weeks plus gave a very high spf (50+) sunscreen to apply frequently during the day. My concern is that its only my 4 day of applying lumacip on the affected area but my skin has almost peeled of twice from the area. Is it normal? I am quite concerned that i might end up with scars. My forehead skin is like a dry patch of skin and looks weird and feels tight. Please help!

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Lumacip contains Hydroquinone. Some people might get allergic reaction to Hydroquinone. So please top applying and report to your doctor.
For thick forehead skin, you can use Glycolic acid face wash twice daily and Facial moisturizers everyday.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
