I have had thyroid trouble since 1990. The first several tests showed no trouble, then a T-5 I think it was showed I had quite a problem. Now have gained 15 pounds in the last 8 months, my skin is so dry it is cracking, I have no energy and have several other hypothyroid issues, but the test only a standard panel and say I do not need to change my medication. It is ,5 and clearly not working. Do I need to have a more specialized test than T-3?
