Suggest Suitable Medication For Urinary Infection

I was given metronidazole 200mg, a ciprofloxacin capsule, candizole and doxycycline 100mg to treat an infection possibly transmitted by a partner. The partner felt a burning sensation while urinating and was prescribed Anaerobyl 400mg,Cyclidox 100mg ,Purbac Strength, Indamethacin 25mg plus a shot of antibiotic. Does this treatment sound right?

I have gone through your question and understood your concerns. It’s sad to know that you and your partner are having such problem. The treatment you getting is more than just a sound treatment. It covers all the aspect of urinary tract infection. I want to know whether its given to you as an empirical therapy or after establishing the causative organism. If causative organism not established, and your symptoms are not getting better in 3-5 days time. Then you need mid-stream URINE sample for CULTURE SENSITIVITY, which will not only tell us about organism responsible for infection but will also guide us about appropriate antibiotics. Wishing rapid recovery and good health.
