Suggest Tests To Detect Mold Infestation

I have been working around mold for a few years (work) I have many symptoms. On Allegra ,Pepcid, Lamisil ,last day on prednosone and now severe leg pain. Also hand skin problems. I have tried to take the flem culture two times now. Did not get it there in time first time and second got salavia and not what was needed. What is the best way to detect if it is black mold for sure..I still have the cough (deep) little better . Should I request blood testing? Am I contagious?

Hi,

Whatever the type of mold it. You need to get away from the working place then only any treatment would help you. The symptoms you have are allergic in nature. So you are not contagious unless it is secondarily infected. Get the culture done of your sputum. Collect the sample in laboratory only.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
