Hi. My own OB is out of office and won t take calls unless it s an emergency. I have a question regarding the use of Prometrium. It wasn t exactly explained to me how to use it properly. I am not on Clomiphene Citrate or any other fertility medication. I am currently on cycle day 19. I first got a definite OPK on cycle day 16. I had egg white stretchy cervical mucous in copious amounts starting cycle day 15 and watery cervical mucous starting cycle day 18. Now on cycle day 19 I have stretchy, but more creamy cervical mucous and doesn t stretch as far. Cycle day 18 my positive OPK was blazing to the point of the test line being blazing positive and continues on like such on cycle day 19. My question is when should I expect ovulation in this scenario. My last cycle lasted 39 days and previous to that my cycle was 41 days. I use an app called Fertility Friend to keep my cycle days straight. Also, when should I use the Prometrium in my cycle? My OPKs are still positive. I don t use a basal thermometer for many reasons. Should I wait until the surges pass? This has been 3 days of solid positives. At the same time, I do not want to inhibit ovulation with the use of Prometrium but I don t want to wait too long either and it s the weekend. Fertility Friend has always been correct at not only predicting when my cycle is going to begin, but also when my fertile days are. According to my last entry with FF, I should be ovulating today based on the three positive opks. Should I wait until my surge ceases to use Prometrium? Thank you in advance I know it s a long one! I m trying for my last child and I m 39. My last progesterone draw was a 4.2 after ovulation.
