Suggest The Ideal Dosage For Cilicaine V Oral Suspension
Hi, My 3.5 year old daughter (weighs 14kg) has tonsillitis and has been prescribed Cilicaine V Oral Suspension 150mg/5ml. We were given 2 x 100ml bottles, to take 10ml twice a day until finish. When we were at the pharmacy, the pharmacist questioned the dosage. Now I am wondering, did the doctor prescribed too much or does this sound reasonable?

If she used 10 ml at a strength of 150mg/5 ml, it would mean that she is using 300mg which would be higher than normal.
