Suggest The Ideal Dosage For Rabies Vaccination

I was biiten by a stray dog last night in Chennai, India. Not a mauling but it broke skin and caused 2 picture wounds on my ankle. Within 15 min. I was given an Anti rabies shot and told to repeat it on day 3 and 7. Is this the right dosage? Please advice.

Hello dear
I understand your concern

Anti rabies vaccine produce the antibodies and it protect against the rabies.
You have to take full course the rabies vaccination that contain total five doses:
Yes you have to repeat the dose at 3rd and 7th day after the first day.
But this antibody formation can be boost by two extra dose at 14th and 27th day.
So take full dose of vaccine:
Rabies vaccine full course: 5 doses; 0,3,7,14,28 days.
