Most important thing to be cared in case of facial paralysis is to maintain the blood pressure level it should not be at higher level and second keep her warm cold temperature is not good for her.
comes to treatment part explaining you few exercises ask her to do
: Eyes exercises: squeez eyes gently for 5 counts and relax repeat this for 10 times and do 3 sets.
: raise eye brows up and hold for 5 counts and then relax repeat 10 times and of 3 sets.
: take a pencil and keep 10cm away from eyes and move the pencil right to left slowly and ask the patient to move eyes in the direction of pencil movement.
:deep breathing exercises inhale from nose and exhale from mouth(mouth position should be as if you are whistling) 10 times 3 sets.
:blow air in mouth both side of cheeks hold 5 counts and release the air repeat 10 times 3 sets.
:blow air in mouth only one side of cheek and do it alternate for 5 counts hold 10 times 3 sets.
: fill water in mouth and try to keep it in mouth for 10 counts repeat 10 times 3 sets
:tongue roll excercises-: rotate the tongue clockwise and anti-clockwise inside the walls of cheeks
: put ice in mouth and rotate with tongue only 5 counts 5 times
for speech: say word "om" 10 times and say vowels (a,e,i,o,u)
: speak slowly so that each word is clear
: stretch your lips as if smiling hold 5 counts repeat 10 times 3 sets
these exercises will help her alot
now is soft tissue manipulation take talc powder on finger tips and make patient lie on bed on her back support the face should facing your body now with the help of your finger tips stretch her forehead in upward direction, stretch her affected eye in opposite direction thenaffected cheek and drain near her ear lobe and lift her down portion of cheek up of affected area and drain near back side of ear
