Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I hit my left shin really hard about 3 mos ago which caused alot of visible bruising which has since gone down. However, there is still some pain (occasional throbbing) and sometimes it itches. I have not been doing any kind of weight bearing exercises. Does it just need more time to heal or is it time to see a doc?
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. As you describe, there appears to be some infection left over, due to the crush of the shin. I advise you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms neurotropic injections for 10 consecutive days, and then periodically, vitamin D, and calcium supplements, ofloxacin, serratiapeptidase. And pain killers when ever there is pain. Avoid taking potato, other tubers, tomato, egg, chicken, and sea foods. wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
