Hi welcome to hcm.....gastroesophageal reflux disease occurs when gastric contents reflux into the esophagus or oropharynx and produce symptoms .During infancy GER is common and most often manifest as vomiting and by 1st year of age ,it resolves spontaneously in nearly 90% infants.symptoms that persist after 18 months of age suggest a higher likelihood of GERD .If child growth is good no medications required...since most causes of GER are functional, reassurance is a major part of treatment.conservative measures like upright positioning in the post prandial hour, elevating the head end of bed, prone positioning and providing small frequent feeds thickened with cereals.....i think i have answered ur query.
