Suggest Treatment For ADHD In A Child

Sir my son is 7 years old and he is having ADHD is there any special schools for these kids? He is studying 1 st standard. Every day lot of complaints in schools on him bcz of his mischief pls guide me what should i do and he is not interested In doing class work and home work. Regards Ravi

Hi, thanks for asking.
I can understand your concerns.
In my opinion you should start medications for his ADHD so that he has adequate seating behaviour in the class. consult a developmental and behavioural paediatrician regarding this. Also I suggest sensory integration therapy for him for his hyperactivity.
I would not favour special school for him as emphasis is now on inclusive education. Even after this if he can not learn in a routine class then you can take special education for him along with the normal schooling.
