Suggest Treatment For COPD With Damaged Lung

Hi , I need to know the TReatment for COPD.

The patient is 60 years Old .Chest scan result says almot 2/3rd of lungs is damaged.It's Status is very Chronic.



Can you please let me know if it is curable, it's medication and Any Hospital for treatment in india.

I can understand your concern.
Sorry to say but COPD with damaged lungs is not curable.
Patient needs to take inhaled bronchodilators (formoterol or salmeterol) and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) (budesonide or fluticasone) lifelong.
Another treatment option is lung transplantation.
So better to consult KEM hospital or Hinduja hospital Bombay for scope of lung transplant.
