Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Crohn's disease is a type of
inflammatory bowel disease which can present with fatigue, pain abdomen ,
blood in stool , abdominal lump etcetra.
DO not panic.
There are loads of treatment options available.
I would suggest you to ask your daughter to
- Avoid oily,spicy food
- I would start tablet
Pantoprazole on an empty stomach
- I would also start Pentasa sachet . Your doctor can guide on the exact dosage.
Your doctor can start injection Remicade (
Infliximab) -300 mg thrice (o, 2,6 weeks) depending on the stage of the disease.
- Avoid straining while passing stool. I would start syrup Lactulose to soften stool.
Do not worry.
With proper treatment , the inflammation can be kept in control.
If you want , you can definitely take a
second opinion if you feel that the current hospital is not taking proper care of your daughter.
Your doctor can examine her and correlate clinically.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
Wishing your daughter's good health.
