Hello,

Irritable bowel syndrome may cause mucous discharge and loose stools. But it won't cause mucous discharge from the vagina.

It may be due to vaginitis or pid or polyps. Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid smoking and caffeine drinks.

Avoid stress and lactose and gluten-containing food. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
