OBGYN 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query. Firstly, the investigation for establishing PCOD should be complete using hormone assays, sonogram of the pelvis after a complete clinical evaluation. There can be associated hormone deficiencies and insulin resistance which need to be corrected. Sometimes, cysts on the ovaries may need to be punctured. Maintenance of a healthy weight, regular exercise and a healthy diet are essential to maintain proper hormone balance. The fact that you are seeing a period only with medication calls for further evaluation. Please do not worry, your condition is well treatable. Hope this helps.
