Hi,

If you have mentioned regarding your menstrual cycles and reproductive history more accurate answer might have been possible. Anyhow, according to your description the possibilities are:
- During the premenstrual period because of the fluctuations in the reproductive hormone levels these types of symptoms like breast tenderness, pain abdomen, headache, dizziness, feeling of rise d body temperature, etc. symptoms can be seen. As PCOS can lead to delayed periods sometimes, these type of symptoms may not be cyclical to you.
- Sometimes these types of symptoms can be seen during the ovulatory period and also as part of mittlesmerz syndrome.
- If there is any possibility of pregnancy, sometimes in early pregnancy also these types of symptoms can be seen.

So, if you are in premenstrual period you can wait for a few days and possibly you may get the periods soon. Meanwhile, you can take symptomatic treatment with analgesics or antispasmodics. If there is any possibility of pregnancy, please go for a urine pregnancy test to rule out the possibility. Taking treatment for PCOS can help in regularization of menstrual cycles and also in decreasing the premenstrual symptoms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sree Gouri S. R., OBGYN
