Suggest Treatment For TSH Value Of 5.67

Hello Sir,

My Name is Isha, I live in New Delhi.Recently i had done my Thyroid Test ,in which the T3 and T4 components are normal , but the TSH is 5.67.It is slightly raised, Could you please tell me what all precautions should i take and should i start taking thyronorm 25mcg,as prescribed by one of the doctor here .

Thank for your question.I do not know why thyroid test was done.If it was routinely done and you do not any symptom of recent weight gain etc you need not take any medication .If your doctor has given thyronorm with some reasons in mind you can continue the same.
