Suggest Treatment For UTI

I HAVE A PT THAT HAS FREQ UTI S AND IS GIVEN ABT AFTER ABT. HE HAS BEEN CONFUSED AND HALLUCINATING LATELY WHICH IS UNUSUAL FOR HIM. SO THE DR HAD THE LAB TECH TEST FOR DRUGS. HE HAS HAD AT LEAST 3 POSITIVES FOR METH. THE FAMILY AND DR THINKS HE IS DOING METH OR SOMEONE IS PUTTING IT IN HIS DRINK??? THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT PUTTING HIM IN A NURSING HOME NOW. I KNOW HIM WELL AND I KNOW HE HAS NOT INGESTED ANY METH. IVE READ WHERE THERE CAN BE FALSE POS TESTS. I KNOW HE HAS FREQ UTI S, PROSTRATE PROBLEMS, LOST HIS WIFE 2 MONTHS AGO. PERTINENT MEDS: TRAZADONE, TRAMADOL, AMITRYPTYLLINE AND GABAPENTIN. PLEASE HELP BEFORE ITS TOO LATE. I NEED INFO TO PRINT OFF. THANK YOU! HH NURSE

Hello,

For Urinary Tract Infection, do urine routine and culture test and then, start antibiotics as per the reports.

Till now, you can take tablet Oflox Oz, syrup Cital, tablet Urikind, and tablet Dolo after consultation. Drink lot of fluids and keep yourself hydrated.

I will suggest you to follow up with detailed history or consult with urologist for detailed examination.
