Suggest Treatment For UTI

I was diagnosed with a TIA after episode of not being able to speak, my words came out garbled, and I was taken to the hospital E.R. After all the tests were done (such as blood tests, blood pressure, urine, EKG, Cat scan, and MRI), the results only indicated a urinary tract infection. How do I treat this? Follow-up is August 30th. It has been two weeks since this happened. I have been feeling very tired, and taking a couple naps a day. Thank you so much. Susie Lynch

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I recommend you to take an uroculture test to check the type of bacteria which is causing it.

Don't take any antibiotics other than those that result out of uroculture and antibiogram.

Take Ibuprofen for pain. Take cranberry juice or tea for disinfection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka,
