Suggest Treatment For UTI

Hi, my name is Lina. I believe I might have a UTI but not one hundred percent sure. I have been urinating alot lately and have had a small pain when I do go to the bathroom. I have been drinking water alot like it told me to do on Google. But how will I know if it is going away?, and how long will it take to clear up?

Hi,

UTI usually presents with frequent urge to urinate, burning sensation while urinating, cloudy urine colour, strong odour, pain in the lower abdomen or in the pelvic area.

Drink plenty of water, get R/E & C/S Urinalysis done. Take care of your hygiene, avoid sex, avoid using public toilets. Visit ER, as neglect may lead to fever, chills, pain, nausea, etc.

You need antibiotics or antivirals depending upon your severity. In the meantime you can take Alkacitron (10-15ml) in half a cup of water twice daily.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
