Suggest Treatment For A Foul Odor From The Rectal Area

I have a foul odor emanating from rectal area. Noticable in bathroom after sitting on toilet seat and in bedroom after arising. Sleep in the nude and there is no visible discharge on bedding or in underwear--just the odor that I don't detect but is making my wife "sick".

Hi there,

I'm not sure what would be causing the foul odor without any discharge. Without doing an exam it is difficult to see. I would try an enema to clean yourself out and see if this helps. I'd also try changing your diet to include more fiber and increase your water intake. This may also help as well. If none of these things help, then seeing a doctor for a rectal exam may prove useful.
