Suggest Treatment For A Painful Lump On The Labia Majora

I have a lump on right side of mons pubis. Was large and sore last 5 days. Seemed to soften and burst under soft skin. What came out was bloodlike but paler and thicker. Lump has more or less gone but area still a bit tender. What was it and will it go away.

Hello,

From the available description it appears that you suffered with inflammation of bartholyn cyst which lubricates vagina. When it is inflamed or it's duct is blocked it causes severe pain on the side of vagina.

Since the inflamed material is already out just warm baths and use of Nsaids for pain should be enough to help you. In case that does not happen in couple of days seeking a medical opinion is suggested.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Ashok Kumar, Psychiatrist
