Suggest Treatment For A Painful Purple Bump On The Labia Majora

I developed a purplish black bump on my labia a couple of years ago. It seems to be movable to an extent under the skin and is hard to the touch, like a little knot. It is now about the size of a green pea. There is no pain but it has grown some over the couple of years. What could this be and should I try to see my gyno doctor?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It could be a genital wart or molluscum.

Nothing much to worry as both of them are harmless and easily curable conditions.

Once the diagnosis is confirmed, you can go for either cauterization or cryosurgery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
