Suggest Treatment For A Pea-sized Bump On The Arm

Hello! 5 days ago, I noticed a bump the size of a pea on my left arm just above the bone of the radius about two inches above my wrist. It seemed to appear suddenly with no redness, bruising, or discoloration of any kind. There are no indicators of an insect bite or puncture and I cannot recall any incidence of trauma to the area. The bump itself is not moveable or soft rather, it feels like the opposite - hard and in place. It is sore and tender to the touch as well as slightly above the bump. Ice helps reduce the swelling and pain. Heat seems to have no effect on either. 400mg of ibuprofen takes the edge off the discomfort. I am a 27 year old female, nonsmoker. Will this lump dissolve on its own or should I seek medical attention? I have seen no change in the size or level of discomfort in the 5 days I have noticed the bump. Thank you for your advise!

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
By your history and description, possibility of ganglion is more.
Ganglion is swelling of tendon sheath. It can appear quickly and can be hard and tender.
Most of the time, surgical removal is necessary.
But you can try conservative management like ibuprofen, ice pack application etc.
Do all these for 1 week if swelling still persist then get done surgical removal of ganglion.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
