I had a small white head between my vagina and anus yesterday. Then over night it got to the size of a large M&M and was very painful. When I went to look at it with a mirror I pushed on it and it popped. Pus and blood came out. Now it feels better and I have put peroxide, neosporin and a band aid on it. Is there anything else I should be doing?
You should ideally never touch, scratch or pop a pimple, white head or bump in the genital area. The area is very sensitive and it can cause spread of infection. You should take care of your hygiene, wear soft cotton clothes so that the area affected does not get irritated or inflamed. You can apply ointment bacitracin, neomycin or Neosporin to help faster healing and to prevent infection.
You can take acetaminophen, one SOS after foo to ease pain and inflammation. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a gynae to rule out any possibility of genital herpes, warts, Bartholin's cysts, etc. You will be treated accordingly. If sexually active you may be recommended by your treating doctor to get STD tests done. This is to stay on the safer side.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
