Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
About three months ago, my primary care doctor ran a CT and later a pelvic MRI because I has abdominal and pelvic pain. He said everything looked fine other than a 2cm fibroid which was a likely culprit. He also said both scans showed a bartholin cyst. The only thing is that neither I nor my gym doctor have felt or observed the cyst. I still experience some pelvic pain and lower back/side pain from time to time so how can I be sure this isn t something more serious? Both the primary, urologist and gyn confirm the scans.
Dear, fibroid can cause the pelvic pain that you are having.Other possibility is gas ,ovarian cyst ,mostly while ovulating. Bartholin cyst is observed in a physical examination and is less unlikely seen by CT scan.It might be another type of pelvic cyst what they described in CT scan. It looks that you don't have anything serious, according to the CT scan and MRI results/
