Suggest Treatment For Acidity

hi..doctor .I am suffering from GI problems since last 3 years .undergone endoscopy & colonoscopy twice last year july, found mild antral gastritis & H-Pylori negative.cont.rabeprazole 20 & domstral 10 for 6 months as advised, but as getting comfort continued the same for another 6 months , now when I left taking those med. facing severe acidity every day. pl.suggest

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood your concerns.
Since the upper GI endoscopy has shown antral gastritis and you have completed the 6 months of Rabeprazole and Domstal, recurrence of severe acidity indicates the following:
You need a detailed clinical evaluation and examination by your Gastroenterologist.
Further investigations are needed:
CT scan of the abdomen to see for gastrinoma, and pancreatic or gall bladder pathology as these problems can give acidity secondarily.
Review upper GI Endoscopy.
I would think of raised stress and anxiety as one of the commonest causes of recurrence of acidity.
As are smoking and alcohol or some foods and beverages can enhance the problems which you need to observe and stop such things completely to get a proper relief.
Soft bland diet in small frequent quantities helps a lot.
8 hours sleep is very important as well as braking the routines of life like going for a vacation and changing the job also helps a lot.
