Dear patient
Osteoarthritis is chronic process and cannot occur acutely. Is There any history of trauma ? What is your age? Because osteoarthritis can be age related which happens in old age. It can also occur after trauma and can occur in any age. Two types of treatment is possible 1. Fusion of joint which relieves pain at the cost of loss of mobility also called arthrodesis. 2. Replacement of joint also called arthroplasty which relieves pain and also gives mobility. Now a days arthroplasty is preferred and is better implants arthrodesis available. So need to consult expert arthroplasty surgeon nearby you arthropod get yourself examined and opined.
