Suggest Treatment For Adhd

my son is almost 16 years old. he was diagnosed with ADHD at 6 years old and took Adderall daily until he turned 12. At 12 years old the doctor put him on Vyvanse 40mg once a day. We are now trying to wean him off of the medicine. In a years time my son has been decreased from 40mg down to 20mg of Vyvanse daily. what is the next stepdown medicine (Vyvanse doesn t come in anything lower than 20 mg)?

hello mam/sir,
Vvynase starts from 20 mg. we can reduce it to 20 mg for a month, half of 20 mg (if it's plain) preparation for a month and stop. Non pharmacological measures has to be put in place depending on the symptom profile for further benefits. Evidence says, in adolescence and early adulthood, most common problems related to ADHD will be Inattention, poor organisations and impulsivity. involvement in psychoactive substance use is another risk factor. so we have to consider these issues in deciding non pharmacological management.
