Hello
Welcome to HCM

A lot of females develop mood fluctuations, hot flushes, anxiety attacks after hysterectomy. Hormonal changes following the surgery are the main reason for these anxiety symptoms. You are on hormone replacement and also on Xanax (Alprazolam) but recently you have developed change in BP and heart rate.

Most likely the anxiety symptoms and changes in heart rate are due to anxiety only. Xanax is a benzodiazepine drug which can be used for symptomatic control of anxiety but this is not the definitive treatment of anxiety. Medicines like Fluoxetine, Escitalopram, Duloxetine, Venlafaxine etc are good anti-anxiety drugs which help in improving such symptoms.

You are already taking Vitamin B12 supplements so there is no need to increase the dose. You can take Omega 3 Fatty Acid soft gels as they help in relieving anxiety. Consult a psychiatrist if symptoms persist.

Thanks, hope this helps you
