I have on the outside of left thigh, deep, pain that causes numbness. It seems to start about 6 inches below the hip and moves downward to the knee. It is only located on the outside of the leg and only on the left leg. Not similar pain on the right leg. It seems to be worse when I sit or lay in bed. It actually comes and goes from severe pain to just there, but never going away. I haven t injured the thigh and there is no bruising. This has been going on for more than 4 months. I ve had very low iron according to blood tests, resulting in 2 IV iron infusions sessions, first was 4 weeks and the second four months after the first and lasted 3 weeks. I do have arthritis in both my knees, hands, wrists. I am familiar with nerve injury which is the usually cause of pain in the leg, but this doesn t feel like it. Any possibilities.
