Suggest Treatment For Back Pain In Kids

I have a 4 year old daughter who has had problems for the past 2 1/2 years and know can figure out what is wrong with her. Her symptoms started when she was 2 years old and she would cry that her back hurt in her car seat, so we tried 5 different car seats and she still complained. Then it progressed to her back hurting when she would be runnin, playing and sleeping. Now that she is older she can describe her symptoms more detailed. She has a hot sensation in her back and feet, she has parasthesis of bilateral legs and incontinence of urine and stool and belly pain. She is followed by a Neurology, GI, Nephrology, Urology, Nuerosurgery, Orthopedics, Pain service, Pain Psychologist and know can figure out what is wrong. She has had 2 MRI (normal), 2 CT scans (normal), Lasix scan (normal), Nuclear bone scan (normal), VCUG (normal), ultrasounds (hydronephrosis), urodynamic studies ( abnormal- showed multiple bladder spasms), multiple blood test and urine studies ( 2 24 hour urine studies showed high protein and urea 3rd was normal but not 24 hour) and Upper GI showed gastritis. Any ideas??

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

She is having hydronephrosis, she might be having UTIs that leads to back pain and fever along with urinary symptoms like burning micturition and urgency etc. If USG showed hydronephrosis, MCUG shouldn't have been normal. It should be repeated, and the cause of hydronephrosis should be investigated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shehla Usman, Pediatrician
