Suggest Treatment For Bacterial Infection In Upper Intestine

I had a bacterial infection in my upper intestine 2 years ago and it took them 2 weeks to find out that s what I had. I was in the hospital with it. Been doing fine, but for the last several weeks I have felt the same was I did back then. Could there have been a little left after treatment and it lay dormant and flare back up?

Hi,
If it was bacterial infection earlier in upper intestine even with treatment and there is same symptoms at right now like abdominal pain, altered bowel movement, vomiting, anorexia .
Then it could be relapse or appearance of a new infection in gut but you must need to evaluate further investigation like routine blood count,ESR,CRP with ultrasound of abdomen and upper intestine endoscopy.
You may require antibiotics (quinolones, antiprotozoals) with antacids like proton pump inhibitor(pantoprazole) or h2 blockers like ranitidine with other supportive treatment.
You must consult your gastroenterologist again for further advise.
